Category Manager – Renewable Energy Generation

Position Overview: As a Category Manager you will employ Strategic Sourcing methodologies to lead procurement activities across a diverse set of services, including Information Technology, Real Estate Services, Corporate Services, and other essential service areas. Additional manage the procurement of plant services, environment services, piping, insulations, fire protection and scaffolding. Your goal is to ensure value-driven, uninterrupted supply while aligning with the company's mission and the needs of business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data specific to the general services category, driving insights and informed decisions.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to enhance value and meet business requirements.
- Sourcing Events & Contract Management: Conduct sourcing events within the S2P system (Coupa) and manage contract negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks related to costs, supply, and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. If no degree is present, 10 years of experience described below is the minimum required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience (with a bachelor’s degree) in sourcing and procurement, specifically within general or related service categories, with a focus on Strategic Sourcing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement and sourcing platforms like SAP, Ariba, and Coupa. Strong Excel and data analytics skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office.
- Contract Negotiation Expertise: Deep understanding of commercial contract development, negotiation, and relevant terminology.
